旅游 ♡ 曼谷甜蜜欧洲风情巧克力村 Chocolate Ville, Bangkok
Sunday, May 18, 2014
I've just finish compiled all the photos from my camera for this Bangkok trip. I don't have a lot of photos, because I dropped my camera on my way out of a cab, and then my camera lens broken. It's just the 2nd day of the trip, which mean I have 3 more days cameraless. So Chocolate Ville should be the last batch of photos came out from this lens. I've need to find a substitute of new lens asap. (I foresee my wallet bleeding.... )
What is this place about?
This is actually a small restaurant, called Chocolate Ville which located outskirt of Bangkok city. And thus the owner changed the whole environment into a small french village by expanding the land around it as well. Although this place is not located near to the city center, nor reachable by public transport, it still manage to attract a lot of crowd. We went there on Monday, but still crowded!
However the restaurant open from 4pm so we always need to get reservation ready before we go there. I've made our table reservation via their Facebook fan page.
Due to the hot weather and bright sun, many of the crowd stay indoor so we get to take pretty photos without random photobombers lol... And also I'm so glad the photo came out with such a nice color saturation due to the sunset time. Most of the photo I took are in golden shimmer.
How to get there?
We took BTS to Mo Chit station, and then wave down a taxi from there. If you ask me why don't we directly use taxi from the city instead? It's really a bad choice to use taxi in city center because of the bad traffic, even that our taxi journey start from Mo Chit station, we still stucked in super bad traffic for quite a while. Bangkok is well known for it's super congested traffic.
Don't worry not to get any taxi home, because there always a lot of taxi waiting outside the Chocolate Ville which you can negotiate the taxi fare with them. Or otherwise, you can get the free call for taxi service by Chocolate Ville receptionist counter.
How was the food?
The food are not cheap compare to the street food nor it is expensive. However we get some really delish fusion cuisine on the menu. Everything are worth trying. Divine or not the taste it really depends on people... for me it's is yummy but not heavenly.
On our menu:
1. Deep fried calamari ring with thai lime sauce
2. Jacob Creek's Pink moscato
3. Barbeque pork bun
4. Parma ham pizza
5. Pineapple fried rice
6. Tom yum goong
7. Green curry
Take a good look at my camera again. I never wanna sell it off, so don't ask me to sell it again. However, I'm looking to get some new lens and camera bag for my baby. A new prime lens and also a pancake lens so that I could explore more with fish eye effect.
Just keep researching....
