Could you resist this fluffy toast which sunken when that scoop of heavy vanilla ice-cream is sitting on it?
Ladies and gentlemen, let's meet Shibuya Honey Toast.

After You Dessert Café, Central World, 7th floor
02-252 5434
Sweet hours: 10.00am - 10.00pm

Sunday afternoon.
Just finished my house chores which I spent 2 hours on it. Sometimes I felt like I live with terrible people when I have serious sinus problems after the cleaning. But man as I grow older I learn to forgive wtf I turned wiser hahaha.
Anyway, today's topic is this dessert place which was in my to-go list when I planed for this Bangkok trip. I tried to search "Top Dessert and Cafe Places in Bangkok", and this place came out in the top 5 list.

Talk about these thick toast. I once had a super horrible toast in Kuala Lumpur Times Square. It was terrific. The toast is very hard I'm like eating a toast that had left open air overnight. It was super hard I think a person would have died if I throw at him. And the filling and topping had already made the toast soggy but the outside of the toast is still super hard. OMG SUPER HORRIFIED don't even remember which shop already.

Okay lead back to our story today. You might think that why does all my pictures do not come out as good. This is a day after my camera's lens broken fml. So these pictures came out from mobile phone camera. I swear I'm going back to have a proper discovery of this dessert cafe again. (Of course not going back to the same branch)

Reminder to avoid awkwardness
Interesting part of this cafe is that we required to get our queue ticket first.
Then, we need to wait for their system to prompt for our number.
When it's our turn, one of the staff will came to attend us by giving us our table number.
With our table number we will directly go to their counter and make order instead.
And after pay, we'll just show them our table number, the staff will guide us toward the table.
One good thing is they serve unsweetened tea for free. All we need is to pour for our own cup of tea, and it's free flow yay. We can add honey syrup or just drink the way it is.
Food will serve to our table so we don't need to wait and carry it own our own.

The decoration looks like a little Japanese wooden cottage with tiny little decoration that makes the whole place looks very warm and comfortable. I can see a lot of students having gathering there. When I was a student I just at most gather at kopitiam or mamak wtf. The students here are so glamour.
And I noticed that they had a lot a lot of dessert cafe in the mall. Are these Bangkok people eating dessert as their main food?

When you go to Thai, order Thai milk tea. I tell you, this Thai milk tea is heavenly! Although I can't have ice drink, I still will sip some from bf's order. He ordered this almost every restaurant or cafe we went lol.
So I attached this picture from their official website to let you have a look of the drink. Haha..
They called it Royal Thai Milk Tea huh.. But I don't see any royal related thing to it la.. Maybe the tea leaves are royal lmao.

We've ordered one Shibuya Honey Toast, and one Royal Thai Milk Tea.
The thing is, the toast is so big and it's sweet. So sharing a toast between two person is a wise choice.
And then, for the free unsweetened tea, it's better if you don't add any sweet syrup in for at least you won't end up feeling diabetic after this meal.
The Shibuya Honey Toast is yummy. Even I'm not a sweet tooth person but I love it! They definitely nailed it. The toast is crispy on the outside, and fluffy from the inside. Every bite I took, I tasted the buttery toast with crispy skin and a touch of vanilla ice cream is definitely divine.

There is only the two of us, but there are so many other choices that makes me drools. But luckily the cashier is super patient in waiting for us to decide. Maybe they served too much of these touristy customers like us hahaha and get used to it already. However, we bumped into our friends who came to date along too. They ordered their signature Shibuya Honey Toast too so we don't have much comparison. But they also ordered the chocolate lava cake which both of them keep praising.
